Let's Celebrate - save the date!
We are going to hold a special event next year to celebrate 50 years of the Bredon Outward Bound Association. Yes, the association was founded back in 1976. (visit the History page to learn more)
We are going to mark this fabulous achievement with a fun event. On FRIDAY 3RD* JULY 2026 we are having a ceilidh in Bredon Village Hall. The brilliant Brimstone will be providing the music and calling out the dances. More information will be announced at our AGM on Tuesday March 3rd, but for the moment, pop the date in your diary, as it's going to be great fun.
*Please note that the date has changed from the original date, owing to a clash of events at the Village Hall.
BOBA QUIZ NIGHT - well done all!
This year's BOBA quiz was on Saturday 21st June. It was a very warm evening at Bredon Rugby Club but with the balcony doors fully open and cold drinks from the bar we were all comfortable. Tim did a marvellous job as quiz master, ably assisted by Nick at the scoreboard. The platter of nibbles provided to each team on arrival was appreciated by the nine teams that attended. Scores were very close at the end. Thanks go to Bredon's Fox and Hounds pub and Tewkesbury's Mezbaan for donating prizes.
The evening was held, not just to raise funds, but to raise awareness of BOBA in the parish. We need people to know of us so that we can maximise the number of young people going on sponsored Outward Bound courses. Do contact us if you know of someone who might like to go.
OUR AGM
Our AGM is going to be on Tuesday 3rd March at 7pm in Bredon Village Hall. Everyone is welcome, particularly othe members of our 200 club. This is an opportunity to meet the committee and hear stories from those who have been on courses. As is usual, refreshments will be served afterwards.
